Fire Business Accounts are digital by design and support a great range of payment features. Built from the ground up and using our own tech we aim to provide a holistic and compelling service to our customers. We are regularly adding new features and services to our accounts and always open to feedback.
Account Features
Fire accounts are opened online. During the application process you will upload documentation about your business, its owners and directors. Once live you will automatically have a sterling and euro account and a Fire debit card.
Open as many Fire accounts as you need to manage payments and simplify reconciliation. Each Fire Account has its own unique details – UK sort code and account numbers for sterling accounts and IE IBANs for euro accounts. New accounts are opened instantly – ideal for segregating funds, simplifying reconciliation processes or managing projects/expenses.
Order as many debit cards as you need to run your business. You can manage which cards are linked to which accounts and change this set up at any time via the Fire API or portal.
Set up users, assign permissions, use the Fire mobile app – FireWork – to securely login and approve certain payments and actions on your account.
Digital by design
The Fire API enables integrated access to your account. For example your systems can be automatically updated as payments arrive or as debit cards are being used. In addition you may use the Fire API to process large volumes of supplier or staff payments from your accounts.
Fire provides statements compatible with major online accounting packages, enabling you to download account statements in industry standard OFX format for importing into Xero, FreeAgent, Quickbooks, Sage One…etc. Like a bank statement, a Fire Business Account statement has all the transaction details in the download, so your accounting system can be up to date.
Fire will send you notifications as activity occurs on your account – you can change these settings at any time using the FireWork mobile app.
Payment Services
With Fire you can pay and get paid by bank transfers to and from any bank account in the UK or Eurozone. Bank transfers are supported via Faster Payments, Bacs and SEPA. Transfers between Fire accounts occur instantly.
Fire Debit Cards may be used to pay in-store, shop online or take out cash from an ATM. You pay from your Sterling Account when transacting in sterling and from your Euro Account when paying in euro, avoiding unnecessary fees. All other currencies transactions are deducted from your default account. Use the Fire mobile app to instantly block cards.
Instantly transfer funds between your Fire Euro and Sterling Accounts at any time. The FX rate and fee are displayed before the transaction is executed. Funds are immediately available and you can make real-time FX transfers between your Fire accounts 24×7, 365 days a year.
Transfer funds to international payees from your Fire account, with 14 available currencies. With faster set-up times and competitive exchange rates, our solution uses local payment routes as a more convenient alternative to SWIFT payments. See here for a full list of currencies.
Pay your bills by direct debit. With a Fire Account, you can enable and disable DDs at an account level, view all the mandates and the associated payments you have setup and get notifications the day before a DD payment is due, so you can fund your account, if needed.
You can use your Fire Account to create payment requests that you can use online, send on invoices, display as QR codes or web links. Your customers can tap/click on these links and then pay directly from their bank account. Fire Open Payments.

Our Regulatory Status
We are regulated in Ireland (by the Central Bank of Ireland) since 2010 as a Payments Institution and in the UK we are authorised by the FCA as an e-money Institution since 2019. We are licenced to provide a range of payment services.
